Privacy Policy

Purple Box Events (trading as "Father Christmas Experience"), registered at 90 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1QN ("we", "us", "our"), is the data controller for the personal information we collect when you book tickets for Share the Light of Christmas and our other events at Fulham Pier.

This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

2. What Information We Collect

When you book tickets, we (via our booking platform, Ticket Tailor) collect:

  • Your name, email address and contact number

  • Booking details (event, date, time, number and type of tickets)

  • Payment information, which is processed directly by our payment provider - we do not store your full card details ourselves

 

If you contact us directly (e.g. by email), we'll also hold the information you send us, such as accessibility requirements or enquiries.

 

If you're filmed or photographed during your visit, we may also hold images or footage that include you or your child - see Section 5.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process your booking and provide entry to the event

  • Contact you with essential information about your booking (e.g. changes, cancellations)

  • Respond to enquiries, including accessibility requests

  • Contact you about this event and future events at Fulham Pier, where you have an existing booking relationship with us

  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations

4. Our Legal Basis for Proceeding

  • Contract: to process your booking and deliver the event you've paid for

  • Legitimate interests: to contact existing customers about related future events at Fulham Pier, and to use event photography/footage for promotional purposes (you can opt out - see Section 5)

  • Legal obligation: where we need to keep records for tax, accounting or safety purposes

 

You can unsubscribe from marketing-type communications about future events at any time.

5. Photography and Filming

We may carry out video recording or photography during the event and use these images for promotional purposes on our website and social media, as set out in our Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please contact us at enquiries@fatherchristmasexperience.com before your visit, giving the date and time of your booking.

6. Who We Share Your Information With

We share your information with:

  • Ticket Tailor, our ticketing and booking platform, who process your booking data on our behalf

  • Our payment provider (via Ticket Tailor), who processes your payment securely - we do not receive or store your full card details

 

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your booking and contact information for up to 24 months after your visit, for customer service and marketing purposes. Financial records relating to your booking (such as payment records) are retained for 6 years, as required by UK tax law.

8. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website does not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. Our booking checkout, provided by Ticket Tailor, uses only strictly necessary cookies to manage your basket and order - these don't require consent, as the checkout can't function without them.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information

  • Ask us to delete your information, in certain circumstances

  • Object to or restrict how we use your information

  • Ask us to transfer your information (data portability)

  • Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis for processing

  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data

10. Children's Information

Bookings are made by an adult on behalf of their party. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children; where a child's name is provided for a ticket, this is provided by the booking adult.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
